The first sodium-ion battery test vehicle has been unveiled

On February 23, 2023, "the Second National Sodium Battery Seminar", Sihao New Energy and China Science and Technology Sodium jointly created the industry's first sodium ion battery test car public debut. It is known that the sodium-ion battery pack of Siho Hwajo, which is the first to use cellular battery technology, was installed in the test vehicle. The range of this model is 252km, the battery capacity is 25kWh, and the fast charging time is 15-20 minutes. Compared with lithium-ion batteries, the energy density of sodium-electricity is close to the level of 120~180Wh/kg of lithium iron phosphate batteries. From the perspective of long-term development space, the energy density of sodium-electricity can be improved and the cost can be reduced. In the future, it has the potential to challenge the lithium iron phosphate batteries in the application scenarios with low energy density requirements.
